PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the availability of a successful recording image by making an ink dot discharged for maintenance hardly visible, in an inkjet recording device which discharges an ink for maintenance on a recording image. SOLUTION: First, a pixel position comparison is made between a highlighted pixel and data in a pixel position of an identical address with the highlighted pixel, and it is detected whether there are image data in the identical address (S203). In case the image data are not available in the identical position, a comparative calculation is performed as to a next highlighted pixel. On the other hand, in case the image data are available in the identical address, the image data in a print buffer are processed using an image processing mask (S204). Then maintenance discharge data are compounded with the image data of the print buffer and image recording data are created (S207). Thus dots are thinned out of the image data by processing the image as described and thereby, the ink dots discharged for maintenance can be hardly visible. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
