PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travelling device capable of independently travelling on a vertical member or on a slope frame without a need for installation of incidental equipment like a rail. SOLUTION: The travelling device has a first member 1 and a second member 2 which is longer than the first member 1. The member 1 and the member 2 which are in a relationship of a contraposition are slidable relative to each other. Each of the member 1 and the member 2 has a clamp part 3 holding the vertical slope frame NT in a sandwiching manner, and a lifting cylinder part 4 which is liftable. In a first step, in a state that the clamp part 3 of the member 1 holds the vertical slope frame NT in a sandwiching manner and the clamp part 3 of the member 2 is separated from the vertical slope frame NT, the cylinder part 4 of the member 1 is extended to a predetermined length and the member 2 is relatively slided. In a second step, in the opposite way, in a state that the clamp part 3 of the member 2 holds the vertical slope frame NT in a sandwiching manner and the clamp part 3 of the member 1 is separated from the vertical slope frame NT, the cylinder part 4 of the member 2 is extended to a predetermined length and the member 1 is slided.
