PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particle of cermet having high hardness, high strength, high toughness, superior adhesion resistance, superior abrasion resistance and superior chip resistance. SOLUTION: The fine particle of cermet comprises: a first hard phase made from a complex carbonitride containing zirconium and titanium; a second hard phase made from at least one of tungsten and molybdenum, and a complex carbonitride containing titanium and zirconium; and a binder phase containing at least one of nickel and cobalt as a main component. The first hard phase and the second hard phase form each independent particle from the other. The average particle size of the whole hard phases comprising the first hard phase and the second hard phase is 0.05 to 0.5μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
