PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plating method for an article formed from a resin, which imparts a superior adhesive force to a plating film without degrading mechanical properties of the article formed from the resin. SOLUTION: This plating method comprises the steps of: roughening the surface of the article 1 formed from the resin containing glass fiber 2, through a roughening process; dissolving the glass fiber 2 on the roughened surface of the article 1 formed from the resin, in a solution; and forming a plated layer 3 on the roughened surface of the article formed from the resin, after the glass fiber 2 has been dissolved.
