A gas combustion-type driving tool has a sending piston-cylinder mechanism (7) for sending to a nose section (6) a sending claw (23) engaging with and disengaging from connected nails received in a magazine. A holding mechanism (100) using a check claw (30) and a ratchet (31) stably holds a nail in the nose section (6) until a driver (11) starts to hammer the nail received in the nose section (6) by using high-pressure combustion gas produced by combustion of a mixture gas. Further, a delay structure (200) using a long hole (37) and an engagement shaft (38) engaging with the long hole (37) delays receding of the sending claw (23) until thedriver (11) starts to hammer the nail received in the nose section (6) by using high-pressure combustion gas produced by combustion of a mixture gas.
