Described is a solid dishwashing agent for dishwashers that can be placed within the dishwasher once for several washing cycles and that can be autom atically dosed according to the actual need. Said solid dishwashing agent in general is in one piece and comprises a carrier and therein incorporated ac tive substances that at least comprise a builder. Said carrier is a solid, w ater- soluble matrix that is tight against water and humidity, and forms a d ishwashing agent that is dimensionally stable at the highest temperature in the storage container during a washing cycle.
