PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit received facsimile data to a correct mail address by confirming an electronic mail address in a facsimile transmission source before transmitting electronic mail based on the received facsimile data. SOLUTION: An electronic mail transmitting facsimile 103 stores received facsimile data while applying an ID thereto, performs OCR recognition on a mail address described in the facsimile data, creates check sheet data describing the mail address and an ID mark corresponding to the ID, and performs facsimile transmission to a facsimile transmission source. Furthermore, in the case where the ID mark is described in the received facsimile data, the ID is read from the ID mark, a check position for confirmation in the received facsimile data is recognized, and electronic mail with a mail address indicated by the check position as a transmission destination is transmitted while attaching facsimile data stored with stringing to the ID thereto.
