PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence element which is driven at a low voltage and exhibits blue light emission with high luminous efficiency and high color purity. SOLUTION: In an organic electroluminescence element comprising at least an emission layer interposed between an anode and a cathode, the emission layer contains an oxadiazole derivative represented by a formula (1). In the formula (1): Ar<SB>1</SB>and Ar<SB>2</SB>independently represent an aryl group, an aryloxy group, a heterocyclic group, or an arylamino group, and may be coupled to each other to form a cyclic structure; Ar<SB>3</SB>represents an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; and further each of Ar<SB>1</SB>through Ar<SB>3</SB>may be substituted.
