PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field emission display in which a positive pole voltage of a high voltage is supplied to an anode substrate with a high reliability. SOLUTION: An anode button 60 is welded on a side of a cathode substrate 1, and a contact spring 50 is spot-welded on the above anode button 60. The contact spring 50 contacts with a metal sheet 24 formed by Kovar embedded in the anode substrate 2 and supplies a high voltage to the anode substrate 2. Supply of the high voltage from outside to the anode button 60 is easy and has an excellent reliability. Since the contact spring 50 contacts the metal sheet 24 of the anode substrate 2, such a problem as wear at a contact portion hardly occurs and a deterioration of voltage withstanding property hardly occurs.
