<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an instrument for detecting a non-linear echo from a contrast enhancement drug. <P>SOLUTION: The method (300) for measuring a non-linear response from a target by using an imaging instrument includes a process (302) of sending a signal with a first amplitude from a transducer (106) to an area concerned and measuring a first response thereto, a process (304) of sending at least one additional signal in the same phase as the first amplitude signal but with one or a plurality of different lower amplitudes to the area concerned from the transducer and measuring at least one additional response thereto. The difference of the function of the measured additional response (a plurality of responses in some cases) from the first response is determined, whereby the non-linear response of a target concerned is acquired (306) and furthermore the drawing (190) of the nonlinear response is displayed (307). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
