PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting bed improved in the feeling it provides to users by preventing rubbing between the bed user and a backrest part when the backrest part is raised or lowered. SOLUTION: This lifting bed 1, such as a bed cum wheelchair, comprises a backrest part 3 provided in such a way as to be freely raised and lowered relative to a seat part 2, and mats 4, 5 provided respectively for the seat part 2 and the backrest part 3. The lifting bed includes a backrest mat 5 slidably provided on the backrest part 3 and a back-raising mechanism 7 which, when the backrest parts 3 is raised, moves the backrest mat 5 away from the seat part 2 accordingly. |
