PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved thermal spraying apparatus which promotes the mixing of fine particles supplied in the axial direction inside a carrier stream with a heated effluent stream without introducing remarkable disorder into the effluent or the carrier stream.

SOLUTION: An axial direction injection port includes a plurality of chevrons at the distant end of the port. The chevrons are arranged radially around the circumference of the distant end of the axial direction injection port so as to increase the common area between two flow streams in the outlet of the port.
