PURPOSE:To improve safety and reliability in such a way that an alarm range for the inter-vehicle distance is controlled in response to the vehicular speed, and alarm behavior of the alarm means is transitorily stopped in response to changes of the determined running conditions including behavior of a direction indicator. CONSTITUTION:Vehicular speed signal of a speedometer 14 are given as input through an amplifier 21, and an output level regulating means VR1 to a multi- control part 23. Likewise, detecting signals from a sound wave signal input terminal 12 are given as input through an inter-vehicle distance detector 22, and an output level regulating means V2 to the multi-control part 23. The multi-control part 23 determines its alarm range and alarm level on the basis of the both signals, and its output signals are given as input through an output level regulating means VR3 to an electronic volume 25. The electronic volume 25 performs gain control of an amplifier 26 on the basis of said signals, and controls the alarm behavior of a loudspeaker 18 by means of output signals from an alarm oscillator 24. In addition, an alarm behavior transitory stop device 30 is operated by means of signals from a direction indicator behavior detector 16, so that the alarm behavior is transitorily stopped. |
