In a conventional successive approximation image reconstruction method (separable paraboloidal surrogate (SPS) method), upon each repeated execution of image updating, updated images are forward projected, forward projection data is differenced from source subject-projection-data, the results are reverse projected to obtain a difference image, and forward projection processing and reverse projection processing are repeatedly carried out. However, in the present invention, in order to provide an arithmetic device, an X-ray CT device, and an image reconstruction method that enable processing time to be shortened while maintaining noise reduction effects, forward projection processing and reverse projection processing, which require time for computation, are replaced with processing for finding the difference between an updated image and a reference image, such processing involving a comparatively small amount of computation. As a result of the foregoing, the amount of computation for successive approximation image reconstruction processing is greatly reduced enabling processing time to be shortened. |
