<p>Wound material is dispensed from one of several rollers on different types of carrier tubes of different lengths. The ends of two tubes have a pair of adjustable clamping elements. They enable material to be supplied from a roll of decreasing dia. at constant tension in two directions. They provide paper delivery for oscillographs, printers, or radio image reproducers. The clamp elements are locked in their applied position. One or both elements are forced along an axis common to both and about which both rotate. The force is maintained as the recording roller is drawn away from the roller on the carrier tube.</p> |
