摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite ferrite magnet of low cost which has magnetic characteristics that are more superior than those of M-type ferrite or W-type ferrite. SOLUTION: A W-type ferrite phase is represented by a composition formula AO.2(BO).8Fe2O3, where A is a divalent alkaline earth metal ion or Pb, and B is a divalent metal ion. A magnetite phase is represented by a composition formula Fe3O4. A composite ferrite magnet contains the W-type ferrite phase and the magnetite phase. Molar ratio of the W-type ferrite phase is at least 60%. In the composition formula AO.2(BO).8Fe2O3, it is desirable that A be composed of one or at least two elements selected from a group composed of Ba, Sr, Ca and Pb, and B is composed of one or at least two elements selected from a group composed of Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Mg, Cr, Cu and Zn.
