Cutting blade

A description is given of an improved cutting blade for cutting hard, but brittle materials. The cutting blade comprises a base plate (4), the two sides of which are provided with a plurality of recesses (5, 6). Abrasive grains (7) are fastened on the base plate (4) within these recesses (5, 6), to be precise such that said abrasive grains (7) project partly beyond the surface of the base plate (4). <IMAGE>
