PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discharge characteristics at low temperatures of an organic electrolyte battery without lowering discharge characteristics at ordinary temperatures. SOLUTION: As a positive active material, an organic electrolyte battery having a spiral electrode group 3 employs two kinds of manganese dioxide such as a synthesized manganese dioxide A heat treated at a temperature between 350 deg.C and 400 deg.C with a specific surface area of 50-65 m2/g and an electrolyzed manganese dioxide B heat treated at a temperature between 350 deg.C and 430 deg.C with a specific surface area of 15-20 m2/g, where the synthesized manganese dioxide A forms a proportion in a range of 20-50 wt.%. |
