PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject mechanism for improving the forming efficiency of high-quality formed products with desired hardness and compression density by making it possible to adjust the conveyance amount and compression density of a material to be formed. SOLUTION: This compression conveyance mechanism is intended to form a formed product A2 with prescribed size and shape by cutting a compression forming material A1 formed by compressing and conveying by a screw conveyor 3 a material to be formed like SUSHI (vinegared rice topped with fish and the like) rice A to a forming hole 13 through a tapered hole 14 on a forming block 12 and extruding the material A from the hole 13; wherein a tip inserted into the tapered hole 14 of a screw blade 5 in the screw conveyor 3 is set up with the rotating locus angleαof its outer periphery edge made nearly the same as the angleβof the tapered hole 14 and also the interval F between the tip of the rotary shaft 6 of the screw conveyor 3 and the inner wall surface 14a of the tapered hole 14 is set widely.
