PURPOSE:To simply manufacture a reaction plate for a linear motor by coupling a secondary conductor with a secondary core by calking bent portions formed at both sides of the conductor. CONSTITUTION:A trestle 1 has a pair of flanges 3 at both sides of a web 2, and bent pieces 4 at the lower edge of the flanges 3. A secondary core 5 made of an iron plate is placed on the lower surface of the web 2 of the trestle 1, and mounted by welding on the trestle 1. A secondary conductor 7 made of an aluminum plate is placed on the upper surface of the ore 5, and the bent portions 8 formed at both sides of the conductor 7 cover the sides and the lower surface of a conductor engaging portion 6. The core 5 and the conductor 7 are coupled by calking the bent portions 8, and a corrosionproof layer 9 is formed between the core 5 and the conductor 7.
