PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric porcelain composition which can be driven even at a higher vibration rate or amplitude two times or more than those of conventional materials. SOLUTION: The main component of the piezoelectric porcelain composition is expressed by the formula: aPbZrO3-bPbTiO3-cPb(Sb1/2Nb1/2)O3 [(a)+(b)+(c)=1]. The piezoelectric porcelain composition is contained on lines for binding the composition points: W [(a)=0.32, (b)=0.53, (c)=0.15], X [(a)=0.5, (b)=0.35, (c)=0.15], Y [(a)=0.4 (b)=0.595, (c)=0.005], Z [(a)=0.65, (b)=0.345, (c)=0.O05] and in a region surrounded by the four points. MnO and Sm2O3 as sub-components are contained in amounts of <=1 wt.% (not containing oxygen) and <=2 wt.% (not containing oxygen), respectively, per 100 wt.% of the main component. The vibration rate limit is >=0.45 m/s. |
