PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an interior fabric backed with a resin, having flexibility, permeability, preventing threads from being disentangled at trimmed edges, easy to be sewn, excellent in abrasive resistance and shape stability, having an excellent touch and suitable for automotive interior materials. SOLUTION: This method is to produce a finished interior fabric by applying an emulsion resin 12A to the wrong side of an original fabric 11 made of threads composed of fibers each having <=10 deniers fineness, having <=1 mm2 maximum area between gaps between threads forming its wrong side and having <=500 g/m2 basis weight. The permeation depth (d) of the applied emulsion resin is set so as to be 0.2-0.8 times the thickness (t) of the original fabric 11 and to make gaps between threads remain without being sealed with the emulsion resin in the wrong side of the fabric and the air permeability (q) of the fabric (the interior fabric) after being applied with the emulsion resin 12A is set so as to be >=40% times the air permeability (p) of the fabric before being applied with the emulsion resin. |
