PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the deterioration in VSWR by integrally forming large-diameter bulges satisfying the preset characteristic impedance on the end section of at least one of a pair of center conductors of a jack and a plug oppositely to the end face of the other center conductor. CONSTITUTION:A jack 2 and a plug 3 are constituted of external conductors 45 made of stainless steel, center conductors 6 and 7 made of brass, and Teflons 8 and 9 filled between them. Sizes of components are set so that the characteristic impedance of a coaxial connector is made 50OMEGA-75OMEGA. End sections of center conductors 6 and 7 are faced to each other, large-diameter bulge sections 10 and 11 are integrally formed, and the large diameter is obtained so that air exists on the periphery and the characteristic impedance is satisfied by the dielectric constant of air. Insulators 8a and 9a may be fitted around the bulge sections 10 and 11. When a gap 8 is provided between end faces 10 and 11 for connection, the change of the characteristic impedance due to the capacity increase by the area increase of the end faces 10a and 11a is suppressed, the deterioration in VSWR is prevented, and a connector with high reliability is obtained. |
