PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reformer decreased in the fear of the damage of a catalyst as compared to the conventional method even if the starting and stopping are repeated, simplified in the structure and facilitated in the working to fill the catalyst in the fuel reformer for reforming hydrocarbon based fuel to hydrogen enriched fuel. SOLUTION: The fuel reformer 1 is constituted so that a cylindrical reaction chamber 18 is formed between a 1st cylindrical body 11 and a 2nd cylindrical body 12, which are coaxially arrange to each other, and plural catalyst cartridges 5 formed by filling the granular catalyst 4 in a columnar mesh vessel 51 are loaded in the reaction chamber 18 in a curved state to surround the column axis of the reaction chamber 17 to form plural catalytic layers laminated in the columnar axis direction of the reaction chamber 17. |
