PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet for ink-jet recording which shows outstanding recorded image sharpness, water resistance of a printed image and preservation quality under high humidity conditions in ink-jet printing. SOLUTION: This sheet for ink-jet recording has an ink-receiving layer which is composed of synthetic amorphous silica, a water-based binder and a cationic resin, on a substrate. In this case, a water-based graft polymer is contained, which is obtained by graft-polymerizing 100-60 wt.% of hydrophilic radical- polymerizable vinyl monomer and 0-40 wt.% of another copolymerizable vinyl monomer in an aqueous solution or a water dispersion in which a polyvinyl alcohol of 75-100% of degree of saponification, and 500-5,000 degree of polymerization with a water-based polyester resin, and/or a water-based urethane resin of 4,000-30,000 average molecular weight, as a water-based binder. |
