PURPOSE:To provide a method for treating a polyester fiber material user for reinforcing rubbers, giving a polyester fiber material for reinforcing the rubbers excellent in the adhesive force of the polyester fibers to the rubbers, especially in the heat-resistant adhesive force, improved in heat resistance in the rubbers (in a rubber test) and fatigue resistance, and having a high quality, and its treating agent. CONSTITUTION:A polyester fiber material is treated with a treating solution comprising A: a conjugate diene-vinyl pyridine copolymer latex (L) copolymerized with an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, B: an early condensate (RE) produced by reacting resorcinol with formaldehyde in a molar ratio of 1:0.50 to 1:2.00, and C: an ammonia aqueous solution-soluble resin compound obtained by reacting a substituted phenolic compound and a formaldehyde resin with a dihydroxybenzene sulfide compound produced by combining two dihydroxybenzene molecules with each other through a sulfur atom in an A/B compounding ratio (weight ratio) of 100/(10-30) and in an (A+B)/C ratio of 100/(10-50), and subsequently subjected to a thermal treatment. |
