PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply print even to a medium not suitable for the direct printing with an aqueous ink, similar to the case of a recording medium for a regular ink jet printer. SOLUTION: In a printing method using an ink jet printer, an aqueous ink image receiving layer is formed on the surface of a water-repellent or permeable medium base by using a liquid agent containing an acrylic resin, a poval resin or the like. Then the image receiving layer is dried, and then printing is carried out in an aqueous ink on the surface of the image receiving layer by using an ink jet printer. As the image receiving layer suitable for the printing in the aqueous ink is formed by coating or the like on the surface of the medium base, printing on optional mediums can be carried out by using the aqueous ink and the ink jet printer. |
