The present invention relates to a packaging unit which includes a bottom part and a lid, wherein the bottom part includes a bottom and an intermediate section which is spaced above the bottom and which includes rows of apertures which are intended to receive and support goods which rest on the upper surface of the bottom. The bottom part (2) is constructed from a first blank (32, 34) which includes a part (36; 36) that forms a supporting partition wall (6) which extends generally perpendicular to the bottom (38) and which is arranged symmetrically in a median plane between the rows of apertures (5). The lid (1) is constructed from a second blank which includes a central section (22) that forms the upper side of the lid (1), and two long-side sections (24) which form the long sides of the lid (1). The partition wall (6) supports the longitudinally extending centre part of the lid (1), and the long-sides (24) support the longitudinally outer parts of the lid (1), by supporting against an underlying surface.
