METHOD FOR CALCINING MOLDING MADE OF INCINERATION ASH

PURPOSE:To provide a method which forms hardly slippery rough surfaces even in a wet state on the surface of a calcined compact by spraying powder which attains a molten state in a calcination process atop a molding, charging this molding into a furnace and calcining the molding. CONSTITUTION:Of the incineration ashes produced in sewer sludge incineration equipment, the cyclone-captured ashes l are fed by the prescribed amt. each out of an ash supplying hopper 3 by a feeding out machine 4 and are supplied to a single screw press molding machine 5 where the ashes are press molded by a surface pressure of about 1t/cm<2> and the molding W is obtd. The pulverized ashes 2' formed by pulverizing the EP incineration ashes 2 which are failed to be captured by a cyclone as the grain sizes are small in the incineration equipment and are captured by an electrostatic precipitator or the cyclone-captured ashes 1 are supplied at the prescribed amt. each out of a supplying hopper 6 by a feeding out machine 7 to a sieve 8 and are sprayed atop the molding W so as to be deposited thereon without pressurization in the ensuing stage. A fine powder layer 9 of a thickness 5 to 10m is thus formed on the molding W. The molding W is then calcined for a prescribed period of time at the incineration temp. of the cyclone-captured ashes 1 constituting the molding W in a incineration furnace 10, by which the calcined compact W' is obtd.
