<p>PURPOSE:To enable the prediction of roll profile, prediction of thickness by mill stretch, etc., and to contrive the high accuracy and high quality of products in hot rolling by grasping the prediction of mill stretch of a rolling mill simply, furthermore, exactly and with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:In this method for predicting mill stretch of the rolling mill, by determining contact area between rolls under loads equivalent to the loads at the times of rolling and kiss-roll by a model of contact length between rolls of the rolling mill, determining mill-stretch difference between the times of rolling and kiss-roll on the premise of the contact area between rolls and adding the determined mill-stretch difference between the times of rolling and kiss-roll as a correction value to the measured value of mill stretch at the time of kiss- roll under the load equivalent to the load at the time of rolling, the deformation of rolling mill at the time of rolling is determined.</p> |
