PURPOSE: To properly display conditions of roads such as those of a congested line by an easy processing by the use of a navigation device, etc., capable of displaying a road map. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a storage means 1 which stores the road data of the road locations and shapes for every road, a road map generating means 14 which reads the road data within a prescribed range stored in the means 16, an input means 20 through which the road condition data showing the condition of the roads indicated by the road data are inputted and a video signal generated means 17 which superimposes and displays the road condition shown by the road condition data inputted into the means 20 on the road map generated by the means 14. As the road data stored in the means 16, auxiliary data, in which prescribed amount coordinate positions are parallely moved, are located besides actual road data. Moreover, two auxiliary data are provided for two-way roads so as to indicate the road condition for both directions. |
