PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waiting time and complexity in a processing by using an architecture having more than one pair of timing gradient circuits that have the center of zero crossing operating points of a pair of circuits located at opposing sampling points. SOLUTION: Each circuit of a pair of timing gradient(TG) circuits is normalized when two TG inclination of each pair are not same and the use of a power of two modulo computation is made possible. Then, the circuits are activated and a phase error in each timing sampling point is computed. When a ZPR is activated, one circuit among each pair of circuits, that are close to a zero phase error, is selected through a comparator circuit. If a non-original TG is close to a desired timing point, a phase shift (for example, 180 deg. equivalent against a pair of TG circuits) is added to a synthesized phase error value and the adding of the 180 deg. equivalent amount is periodically added to a phase detector or a timing reproducing circuit. |
