Foam spacer made of e.g. polyurethane with impermeable outer coating
摘要
A novel spacer for separating metal sheets immersed in baths is made of a compressible plastic. Foam forms the core (1) of a watertight covering (2), preferably comprising a flexible tube. The covering is welded from two bands or made by spraying the sheet material onto the core. The ends (2) are sealed off. The covering may be a composite with a barrier layer including polyamide. It is polyethylene or polyurethane, and may be a heat-shrink plastic. The covering has a self adhesive outer, or is itself self-adhesive. Melting temperatures are specified. The core may be polyacrylate- and/or bitumen impregnated; it may be soft polyurethane foam. It is rectangular.
