The invention relates to pneumatic actuation means, in particular for rail vehicle brakes, said means having a pressure chamber which is bounded by a substantially cylindrical wall and end components moving axially in relation to each other, and having an adjustment spring which moves the two end components towards each other so as to achieve a reduction of the pressure chamber. The wall or at least the connection between the cylindrical wall and the end components consists of a resilient material, preferably an elastomer bellows and/or adjustment means for setting and adjusting the distance of the two end components is arranged inside the pressure chamber when there is pressure relief therein. The invention is characterised in that the adjustment means (6) arranged between the axially movable components (3, 4) comprises (a) a housing (9) securely connected to the component (3); (b) a control piston (10) displaceable in the housing (9); (c) a pushrod (13) pressing against the other component (4) with the pressure spring (11) and displaceable in relation to the control piston (10); and (d) a valve (8) connected to the control piston (10) and for closing a connection opening (7) for the pressure medium, said opening being arranged in the component (4) and/or in the housing (9), when there is a preset or adjustable return stroke of the control piston (10). |
