An air blowing device 6 comprises an array of blowing tubes 1 made of an elastomeric or thermoplastic plastics material, each tube 1 having small openings directed towards the upper surface of sheets to be deposited on a delivery pile (5, Fig 1). The array consists of constructional groups 20, 21, 22 of tubes 1, each constructional group with a coupling part 17 connected via a compressed air line 3 with a control unit 18, which selectively controls the flow of air to each constructional group 20, 21, 22. The blowing tubes 1 are rotatable in connection pieces (2, Fig 3) allowing the direction of the blown air to be adjusted.
