The vehicle gearbox speed change control has an arm (7) mounted for axial movement on the gearbox (1) casing (2). The arm supports a slide (16) also movable axially and carrying a finger (17) to actuate the speed change. The arm and slide can be selectively locked to synchronize the gear movements.
