PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antisense nucleic acid compound which suppresses activation of NF-κB, and is useful for diagnosing and treating rheumatic arthritis, immunological diseases, proliferation of cancer cells, and so on, by making the compound have a specific base sequence and an activity of inhibiting expression of a cytokine. SOLUTION: This compound contains a base sequence such as 'gagaagatta agaagaagga tc' which is complementary to the bas sequence shown by the formula of the gene coding for a subunit of IκB phosphorylase or the like, and has an activity of inhibiting expression of a cytokine such as interleukin-6. It is preferable to treat apoptosis-related diseases by inhibiting expression of a cytokine by introducing this antisense nucleic acid compound into a cell.
