The invention relates to a screen (1) for wiping off paint, for a container (2). The wiping-off screen can be securely and permanently fitted to said container (2), hereby facilitating painting work. According to the invention, a bracket (3) of the wiping-off screen (1) latches onto an edge (6) of the container (2). This causes a screen element (4) of the wiping-off screen (1) to be pressed against an inner wall (9) of the container (2), with the result that the wiping-off screen (1) is securely positioned on the container (2).
