PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data coder and its method by which a plurality of kinds of data (e.g. L and R channel data) can easily by synchronized without the need for double speed processing. SOLUTION: An L channel encoder 100 encodes L channel data L0, L1, L2,... of three-dimensional picture data and outputs the encoded data. Furthermore, the L channel encoder 100 gives the L channel decoded data that are delayed by one frame to an R channel encoder 200. The R channel encoder 200 encodes R channel data R0, R1, R2,... while referencing the decoded picture data from the L channel encoder 100. That is, the R channel encoder 200 uses the received delayed L0 data to encode the R0 data synchronously with a timing to encode the L1 data. |
