PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zone roaming control method by which a mobile station can reduce probability of failing to capture an incoming signal to its own station. SOLUTION: In the zone roaming control method where a mobile station intermittently receives control channel data from a plurality of base stations and the mobile station moves to an optimum waiting destination zone when the received data are deteriorated on the basis of the result of reception, the mobile station receives a control channel signal from a base station which belongs to a specific zone in an intermittent reception mode for a prescribed period. When the level of the received signal is lower than a predetermined threshold value or when a reception error occurs, the mobile station receives the signal for a plurality of number of times in a short period intermittent reception mode whose period is shorter than the prescribed period above, stores the presence or absence of an error and the level of the reception signal for each reception as a reception record and when the mobile station analyzes the reception record and discriminates that deterioration in the reception signal is inherent to the base station, the mobile station transits its waiting destination to a base station belonging to another zone. |
