PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drip chamber minimizing the generation of an air bubble in an intravenous drip injection and supply system. SOLUTION: A drip chamber 16 has a housing 24 having an inflow port 26 and an outflow port 28 and demarcating a chamber 30 between the inflow and outflow ports. The housing 24 is constituted so that an intravenous drip injection liquid passes through the chamber from the inflow port to flow to the outflow port. The member 38 supported at the position between the inflow port and outflow port in the chamber is arranged so that the intravenous drip injection liquid impinges against the member 38 and lowers the speed of the intravenous drip injection liquid to minimize the generation of an air bubble in the intravenous drip injection liquid. Since the inner diameter of the inflow port is substantially equal to or larger than that of the outflow port, the flow rate of the intravenous drip injection liquid issuing from the outflow port is substantially equal to or smaller than that of the intravenous drip injection liquid entering the inflow port. |
