PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing member capable of preventing the damage of a part abutting on a developer carrier and surely preventing the leakage of developer by preventing deformation. SOLUTION: As for a thin plate type toner leakage preventing sheet (sealing member) 10f which covers over a gap between a rotatable developing roller (developer carrier) 10c and a toner storing frame body (developing frame body) 10a for storing the developer (toner) in a developing device which can be attached to/detached from an image forming device main body, whose one end is supported by the frame body 10a and whose other end abuts on the roller 10c through the developer; its flexural rigidity in the longitudinal direction of the roller 10c is made different from that in the width direction of the roller 10c.
