PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording and reproducing device which has a low price, high reliability, long service life, small heat generation and low power consumption, by making information recording/reproduction possible on/from an optical information recording medium, despite the use of a low output light source lacking sufficient optical output or the use of a light source driven at low output. SOLUTION: The device is constituted such that two concave mirrors CM-1, 2 are arranged at prescribed positions near an objective lens OL-1 as a means for reconverging reflected diffracted light, reflect ±1st order diffracted light traveling in a radial direction on account of the fine-pitched group G formed on an optical disk OD, and reconverge it on the optical disk OD. Consequently, in recording information by converging a laser beam from a laser light source LD on the optical disk OD through the objective lens OL-1, the ±1st diffracted light is reconverted on the optical disk OD, and efficently added to the laser beam from the laser light source LD, and the information recording power is increased accordingly at the converged spot, by the added portion. |
