PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which is satisfactory in assembling workability and has little light loss. SOLUTION: This light-emitting device 1 consists of a light-emitting chip 2, provided with a first and second element electrodes 8, 9 on the same surface, and a submount 3, having a first and second counter electrodes 11, 12 corresponding to the first and second element electrodes 8, 9 on the same surface. The submount 3 is constituted of a conductive substrate 10, the first counter electrode 11 is arranged, to be electrically insulated from the substrate 10, and the second counter electrode 12 is arranged being electrically connected with the substrate 10. |
