<p>The invention relates to an electronic commerce method and an electronic commerce system, in which the owners of debit cards or other immediate payment devices are identified. An electronic commerce system comprises a card (100) capable of holding the data used for payment in an electronic transaction using a bank account, a terminal (102) for reading the data from cards (100), and an authentication server (103) connected in data communications with a terminal (102) for authenticating the personal identification of the owners of cards (100). The authentication server (103) includes image data about the owners of cards (100) registered beforehand. The terminal (102) is used for authentication based on the visual comparison between the present image data and the registered image data.</p> |
