PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera having a dust-resistant mechanism on an imaging element part effective even for dust after assembling the camera and allowing a constitution of a simple and small dust-resistant mechanism by constituting an airtight part small in size at the imaging element part. SOLUTION: The camera comprises an imaging optical system to form an optical image of a subject, a photoelectric conversion element 15 to convert at optical image into an electric signal, an optical element placed between the system and the element 15 and a vibration applying means to vibrate the optical element. Furthermore, a holding member to airtight between the optical element and the element 15, and the applying means apply a first-dimensional curved standing-wave vibration or an ellipse vibration.
