PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document transport device capable of confirming documents remaining in an ejected paper tray before the next document is read. SOLUTION: In this document transport device 1 having a paper feed tray 2 and the ejected paper tray 3 disposed on the upper and lower sides, a part of the upper paper feed tray 2 is provided with a portion 2a for visually confirming the ejected paper tray 3 disposed on the lower stage, and the portion 2a is transparent.
