PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap with a tamper-evident ring wherein a bridge can be reliably prevented from cutting when the cap is mounted and the bridge can be reliably torn when opening. SOLUTION: The cap 10 with a tamper-evident ring includes a cap body 12 to be screwed over a bottle mouth, and the tamper-evident ring 14 provided on an opening of the cap body. The ring 14 includes a fixed ring 18 which rotates integrally with the cap body, and a semi-fixed ring 22 which is connected with the fixed ring via a bridge 20 which is torn off by stress occurring when the bottle mouth is to be opened. A ratchet mechanism 24 is formed between the fixed ring and the semi-fixed ring. The ratchet mechanism 24 engages when mounting the cap on the bottle mouth to cause the fixed ring and the semi-fixed ring to rotate approximately integrally, while it does not engage so as to apply the stress to the bridge when removing the cap from the bottle mouth.
