PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor mat which takes advantage of its noise absorbing function of the vehicular floor material as a floor mat to be placed on a vehicular floor material, enhances quietness in a cabin, demonstrates a consistent slip-proof function, and prevents the safety from being affected. SOLUTION: The floor mat 1 is provided. The floor mat 1 is formed by joining a face layer material such as a carpet 2 with a back rubber sheet 3. The back rubber sheet 3 is formed of rubber foam mainly consisting of continuous air bubbles. A missing part 3a of the back rubber sheet 3 is provided in the floor mat 1. The missing part 3a has permeability by eliminating a part of the back rubber sheet 3. When the floor mat 1 is installed on the vehicular floor member, the noise in the cabin is allowed to pass through the floor mat 1. Further, if slip-proof projections 4 are provided on the back rubber sheet 3, the slip-proof function to the vehicular floor material is sufficiently demonstrated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
