<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable only the related persons on a golf ball supply side to easily and surely read the contents of identification marks (fluorescent marks) by a fluorescent coating material which produces colors when irradiated with UV rays when needed by providing the surface of the golf ball with these marks. SOLUTION: A multiplicity of dimples 2 are arranged on the surface of the golf ball 1. Ordinary marks indicating brand names and ball numbers for users identifiable under visible rays are displayed along the equator 3 on the surface of such golf ball 1. On the other hand, the fluorescent marks 5, which are the identification marks encoding the production year, month, phrase, production factory, etc., of the ball 1 by the fluorescent coating material which produces colors when irradiated with the UV rays, are applied on the portions approximately around both poles 4. While the arrangement of the fluorescent marks 5 on the ball 1 on the coating film to be exposed to the atmosphere is satisfactory, the coating of the entire part of the surface of the ball 1 with a clear coating material after the arrangement of the marks on the surface of the cover is more preferable.</p> |
